At tesa, we’re looking for a Key Account Manager – General Industries (GI), SEA to lead our growth across Southeast Asia. Your Mission
As the Key Account Manager – GI, you will be at the forefront of driving sustainable, profitable growth across SEA GI segment. You’ll lead strategic sales initiatives, manage high-impact accounts, and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Your role is both visionary and tactical—balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Design and implement regional sales strategies aligned with short-, mid-, and long-term business goals.
- Translate growth initiatives into actionable plans tailored to local market dynamics.
- Lead strategic account planning, including forecasting, pricing, and margin optimization.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, regional and global GI teams to ensure alignment and synergy.
Key Account Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to deal closure—using CRM and digital tools.
- Drive high-quality customer engagement through structured visit reporting and funnel management.
- Lead commercial negotiations and ensure contract renewals align with business objectives.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues and cross-functional challenges.
Business Development & Innovation
- Align channel and end-user strategies to maximize market share across priority segments.
- Identify and develop high-value accounts, securing spec-in solutions and long-term partnerships.
- Enable and support channel partners through training and joint business planning.
- Provide technical and application support to customers in defined markets.
- Conduct market segmentation and analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Build business cases for new product development and support commercialization efforts.
- Monitor competitive activity and guide strategic responses in the SEA market.
- Leverage digital platforms for lead generation, qualification, and performance tracking.
Leadership
- Inspire and guide a high-performing sales team across multiple countries through influence and collaboration.
- Set clear KPIs, foster accountability, and cultivate a results-driven culture.
- Navigate matrix structures and lead cross-functional initiatives with confidence.
Reporting & Systems
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and project milestones.
- Deliver insightful monthly reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage customer data, project statuses and sales performance.
Candidate Profile
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven success in business development and key account management in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong technical orientation with experience in spec-in solutions.
- Regional experience across Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with digital sales tools and CRM systems is a plus.

Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia (approx. 65% overseas, 35% domestic).
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs and organizational structures.
