Your Mission
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, developing, and executing sales strategies that deliver sustainable growth. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure customer satisfaction, market expansion, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Develop short- and mid-term plans, including resource allocation and market segment strategies.
- Create tailored sales plans based on the Annual Business Plan (ABP), with customer-specific approaches.
- Maintain close coordination with your supervisor throughout the planning process.
Business Development
- Prospect and develop new accounts to drive profitable growth, including initiating and managing new projects.
- Conduct market surveys and provide insights on emerging trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-border teams to support international business objectives.
- Coordinate with marketing, technical, and product management teams to deliver value-added services.
Sales Management
- Manage sales activities through direct engagement and networks.
- Support sales growth and identify new business opportunities in defined markets (Automotive).
- Develop and monitor business plans for key customers, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Align customer-specific sales strategies with team objectives, overseeing pricing, service levels, and product assortments.
- Ensure accurate and timely order processing with the Customer Excellence team.
- Manage accounts receivable and define payment terms in collaboration with Controlling.
- Deliver product presentations and support product positioning with Regional Marketing.
- Develop long-term strategies for assigned markets to ensure sustainable growth.
Team & Organizational Development
- Support people development initiatives led SEA and region.
- Coach and guide team members to enhance their skills and market knowledge.
- Provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain detailed records of activities and projects.
- Prepare monthly reports and Weekly Planning Logs (WPL).
- Use CRM tools to manage project data, update statuses, and log customer interactions.
Candidate Profile
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or higher) is a strong advantage.
Experience
- 7–10 years in sales or business development, preferably in the tape or related industries.
- Experience working with OEM/OES and spec-in products.
- Familiarity with direct, distributor, and converter sales models in the automotive sector.
