The most recent tesa plant was built in 2005 in Suzhou, China, in record time. The production facility near Shanghai has its own development and technology center. The tesa plant in Suzhou produces in close proximity to its customers from the automotive and electronics industries, increasing the presence of tesa in the rapidly growing Chinese market.

Some 190 employees at the tesa Plant Suzhou produce mainly double-sided special adhesive tapes for use in mobile phones, smartphones, laptops, and automobiles. The infrastructural proximity to industrial customers enables faster, needs-based implementation of customer requests and innovations.

In 2007, the plant was recognized as one of the 19 best employers among 2,000 international companies in the Suzhou Industrial Park.
