Supply Chain Project Manager

Location:  USA, Charlotte NC

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Project Manager will initiate and lead supply chain projects that are in line with the tesa business objectives, coordinate resources and activities in order to meet those objectives and contribute to overall operational excellence as defined by core KPI’s. This is a responsible non-supervisory position. 

  • Initiate, manage and implement cross-functional and/or high impact improvement projects, applying proven project and change management tools, leading to realization of targets set by management/ project sponsor (time, budget, improvements).
  • Manage end-to-end coordination projects as needed
  • Pro-actively come with proposals/ spin offs for new projects for continuous improvement of the processes within the Supply Chain where Order Management plays a key role.
  • Serve as go to within supply chain group for shortage management needs
  • Facilitate the performance management review for regional supply chain (yearly KPI where needed. And target review, monthly performance review), including set up of new and improvement of existing KPI’s
  • Identify trends in operational performance, find root causes and define action plans/ projects for improvements (PDCA cycle, continuous improvement).
  • Conduct process analysis, benchmarks and assess process capability across the Region, to support decision making and explore improvement opportunities within Regional Supply Chain.
  • Connect with IT as representative of supply chain as needed, possible key user role.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network, both internal (other OM’s, Global Commercial Supply Chain) and external (Markets, Business Groups/ factories, IT)
  • Interface to tesa global organization, including HQ and other regions


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field e.g. Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience minimum in Project Management / Supply Chain Management
  • Project management skills (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Green/BlackBelt).
  • Flexibility and taking responsibility / ownership
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Customer focused with a drive to get things done.
  • Accurate, analytical and process driven way of working, able to synthesize inputs
  • Ability to travel up to 25% depending on need
