Customer Sustainability Manager (m/f/x)- Electronics

What you will do

  • You are the key to bring the requirements of leading Consumer Electronics brands part of our innovation strategy
  • You will discuss with smartphone makers how to make and measure success
  • You are responsible to define the relevant KPI to secure progress on our common tesa/customer roadmaps
  • Understand and monitor sustainability related legislation and business framework for electronics industry
  • Establish partnership with institutions, NGOs and relevant companies for topics like Right to Repair
  • Conduct market and competition research
  • Identify new initiatives and get stakeholders buy-in
  • Drive digitalization of sustainability related database and IT tools
  • Continuously review, adjust and develop sustainability roadmap of business unit
  • Steer overarching product and technology development projects
  • Act as interface in the matrix organization and drive cross-functional sustainability projects
  • Grow organizational competence on sustainability related topics

What you will need

  • You are dedicated to make sustainability happen
  • You understand that it is about fact based progress and not greenwashing
  • Master’s degree in engineering, environment or sustainability
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability management
  • You have a passion for securing good efforts through audits, material certification, and constant improvement of our tools, such as LCA, carbon footprint calculations, and so on
  • Very good analytical skills, process-oriented thinking as well as structured way of working and a solution-oriented mindset
  • High level of customer focus
  • Experience in project management
  • Self-motivated and passionate in networking
  • Strong communication skills in English required
  • Willingness to travel internationally
