Your Tasks

The GKAM (Global Key Account Manager) is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets by establishing a sustained global sales project pipeline and relationship with the Volkswagen Group:

  • Develop and implement a global key account plan in close cooperation with Regions and Business Units
  • Ensure a solid tesa network within the Global Key Account in order to maintain access to market trends, identify sales opportunities and build relationships. Therefore the contact to relevant decision makers is maintained. This should also drive idea generation for product developments which the GKAM drives together with Product Development and Marketing
  • Lead the global sales team for the Volkswagen Group
  • Track, prioritize and coordinate sales projects
  • Ensure profitability, sales performance, achievement of business targets and development of the key account
  • The GKAM utilizes the relevant global and regional resources (Product Development, Regional Sales Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and CSC engineering) to deliver solutions to meet the customers’ needs and timeline
  • Lead the negotiation process, monitor complaint handling and address major quality issues
  • Carry out global competitive analysis in order to identify new opportunities for tesa

Your Profile

  • Master in Business Management, Natural Sciences or Engineering or comparable degree
  • Experienced in the automotive sector (or similar industrial sector)
  • At least +5 years of working experience in key account management or sales with a responsibility of >20M€ in sales and a proven track record to grow a Business.
  • High technical affinity and ability to sell complex technical products
  • Experience in team leadership preferred
  • High communication and teamworking skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Business fluent in German and English
