Tax Manager (m/f/x)

What you will do

​​​​​The Corporate Tax and Customs function at the tesa Group Headquarters is a true partner to business, providing dedicated and real-time tax support and advice to the tesa Group worldwide. We ensure that business processes are correctly reflected in relevant tax reporting and compliance processes and that legislative and regulatory changes are aligned with business realities. We are now looking for a driven and assertive tax manager, who enjoys working with a wide range of topics in a changing environment, to join our team.

  • Partner with international group functions, providing tax input and advice during cross-functional projects, internal restructurings and M&A projects
  • Implementation, monitoring and improvement of the Tax and Customs Compliance Management System (TCMS)
  • Actively monitoring external tax developments, analyzing their relevance to tesa and communicating these developments to relevant stakeholders
  • Analysis of group´s tax position according to IFRS
  • Preparation of potential defense strategies in tax audits / procedures. Monitor and coordinate German and international tax audits and implement results including calculation of tax audit provisions based on IFRIC23
  • Initiate and provide global guidelines, trainings and standards for tax processes

What you will need

In order to be successful you need to have:

  • Completed degree in business administration, tax or similar
  • Tax consultant exam advantageous
  • 3 - 5 years of national and international tax experience, including solid grounding in tax compliance management systems (preferably experience from Big 4 companies)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high level of initiative and creative drive
  • Process driven and IT savvy
  • Thinking ahead, being proactive and challenging business partner
  • Project management, coordination and participation in international (project) teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, excellent in promoting change
  • Fluent in German and English
