Regional Marketing Communications Manager

This role is responsible for supporting the creation of a world-class industry brand in North America. The role will ensure that the company delivers clear business value and insights through a customer­ centric communication strategy that is focused on building brand trust and demand in a variety of industrial markets. The Regional Marcom Manager will have a digital first mindset and the ability to work across a variety of complex industries. This person will collaborate closely with global colleagues and regional colleagues across USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Build on the business strategy for North America by planning for and implementing creative, effective tactics that differentiate tesa from the competition and align with the overarching marketing communications strategy supporting business units in the region.


Lead generation and Management
  • Adapt business objectives into a lead generation strategy Develop and report key performances indicators (KPls)
  • Steer BU marketing development of personas and customer journeys Improve our company's and our content's search rank, to attract site traffic
  • Convert traffic into new leads and nurture selected leads in an MQL lead funnel Strategizing and implementing campaigns leveraging both traditional (collateral, print advertising, direct mail, etc.) and digital
  • (social media, digital advertising, websites, email, etc.) marketing tactics.
  • Responsible for media plan, editorial calendar and internal and external communications as related to area of responsibility
Content creation and management
  • Collaborate with the extended Industry Marcom team to leverage global content, fine-tune or adapt as needed, and identify additional content needs for the region. Work closely with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts, product marketing, digital marketing, sales, and technical experts to create compelling content targeting specific personas
  • Deliver entertaining and informative content and make it available to digital channels in North America
  • Report on content performance, both quantitatively and qualitatively, to enable optimization Developing materials, presentations and other marketing communications for launches, campaigns and other product and service marketing efforts as well as sales meetings, tradeshows and events.
Agency and project management
  • Establish a digital marketing campaign roadmap and editorial calendar
  • Oversee all local Marcom activities and ensure a consistent and cohesive representation of tesa's industry positioning and strategy across all channels in North America
  • Oversee local agency relationships
  • Create and maintain project plans to successfully move all projects forward in a timely, collaborative and efficient manner.
  • Providing guidance to the product management team and cross-functionally to teams such as customer service, sales excellence, customer development and operational excellence, to help shape local marketing strategies.
Marketing Communications
  • Manage customer-facing events and shows with a comprehensive strategy and KPls Manage the Marketing Budget
  • Manage and oversee various digital marketing channels, social media, blog, etc...
  • Supports tesa's Media Asset Management (MAM) and key digital marketing systems and tools Working with tradeshow manager to develop plans to leverage product promotions to help generate leads at key shows and events
  • Collaborating with the Digital Marketing Manager to help leverage and optimize the tesa websites, e-marketing tools, SEO/SEM, digital advertising, social media channels and other digital marketing tactics.
  • Creating and managing the Marcom budgets in close collaboration with the product management team and Head of Regional Marketing.
  • Attending and participating in all relevant trade shows.
  • Traveling with sales representatives once per year to gain a deeper understanding of the business and the tesa customer base.
Other Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring program success and ROI analytics and reporting to appropriate Directors, product managers, etc.
  • Actively soliciting relevant input from customers and the sales organization to develop new and vibrant marketing collateral.
  • Assessing state of current materials - revise existing literature as appropriate, archive outdated versions, and leverage digital whenever possible.
  • Developing relationships with peers at tesa, to leverage ideas and materials, and align with overarching brand.
  • Being a strong tesa brand ambassador ensuring all sales and marketing collateral reflects and adheres to corporate branding standards.

  • Proven experience in lead generation in context Social media savvy
  • 5+ years of work experience in digital marketing for industry
  • 5+ years of supervisory or proven leadership experience
  • Proven ability to develop and manage engaging and original content through different channels
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of working across languages and cultures Excellent project management skills (calendars, deadlines, vendor/agency management, budgets)
  • Degree in marketing 
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 10%
