tesa®  745xx shows high shear resistance because of the strong acrylic foam core, reaching dynamic shear values above the required standard for TL 52223-2019.

tesa®  738xx shows immediate foam split with high bonding strength (up to 60 N/cm) as well as after ageing. Foam split or cohesion failure mode shows that the anchorage of the tape to both substrates is very reliable.

A sunroof seal manufacturer, enjoying success in its home market, was looking to expand into new territories.  

This meant it needed to find suppliers that could help it meet material approvals for new OEMs. Looking for a high-performance adhesive partner, they asked tesa, because they knew that as well as offering a proven product, we offer on-site support through our 11 customer solution centers globally.

We were able to help the sunroof seal manufacturer meet the high specification standards of a European OEM, and prove it in testing, at each stage of the value chain. We tailored our product design as necessary, ultimately to get the sunroof seal and our tape into production. This level of support is available to all of tesa’s customers, including you.
