tesa Site Haiphong is a modern manufacturing site on approx. 70,000 sqm of land (investment: €55m) for water-based and solvent-based adhesives, with a production capacity of up to 40 million sqm. Around 50% of the portfolio is water-based.
Main products include wire harnessing tapes for the automotive industry, general mounting tapes for electronics, and non-woven splicing tapes for paper and web-processing applications. The site also serves applications such as print & packaging solutions, solar, and general purpose tapes.
The site combines investments in greener operations with long-term social responsibility initiatives in the region. This includes solar panels with a total capacity of 1.25 MW generating around 1,100 MWh annually, as well as VOC emission treatment with energy recovery that reduces emissions by up to 95%. Rainwater is collected and reused via a bio-pond with a capacity of 660 m³.
In addition, the CSR program “Breaking the Cycle” (2023–2026) reflects a long-term partnership with SCDI to support disadvantaged children in Haiphong, for example through scholarships, education support, nutrition packages, Tết gifts, life-skills work-shops, factory visits, and regular follow-ups. The program supports over 30 children per year and received external recognition through the GBA CSR Achievement Award 2024. Further community and employee engagement is driven by donation initiatives and annual Sustainability Week/Month activities. This is complemented by Mid-Autumn celebrations for HIV-positive and orphaned children and internal “garasale” reuse events raising charity funds with zero operating cost.
The Haiphong site’s commitment to quality, safety, and responsible operations is underscored by a strong set of internationally recognized certifications.
