Representatives from the Automotive Business Segment of tesa tape, inc., an affiliate of tesa SE, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, are pleased to announce a new line of double-sided adhesive tapes specifically designed for permanently bondingautomobile components throughout the vehicle body.

This new line of products, known as the tesa® Scrim Tape Family – joins a robust assortment of adhesive products designed exclusively for automotive production applications.

As technologies for automobiles continue to evolve, so do tesa tape solutions for the industry, as evidenced by the introduction of the new family of tesa® Scrim Tapes. These new products were designed to meet a specific need within the industry: the need to attach a variety of components throughout the interior of a vehicle body, including plastics, foams, textiles, leather, and more!

The tesa® Scrim Tape product assortment is based on a PET (polyester) scrim-reinforced adhesive layer. Each tape offers maximum flexibility for laminating to various substrates and converting to specific sizes and shapes. The low VOC acrylic adhesive system ensures a fast, initial adhesion, and a durable and consistent bond to polar and nonpolar plastics, as well as to foam, felt, and fabric materials.
