The controller in terms of data protection for the processing of customer data within the tesa Online Shop are tesa online GmbH and tesa SE. Insofar as the data processing is jointly responsible, the tesa Group's internal data protection rules apply.

If you would like to order via our online store, you can register your own customer account or alternatively order as a guest without a customer account.

Within the framework of the customer account, we process your name, e-mail address as well as an invoice and delivery address a customer ID and the password you have chosen.

To provide your customer account, we process your data based on our terms of use.
We process data of contact persons for a company or organization on the basis of our legitimate interests for business correspondence with corporate customers. As a contact person, you can object to this processing at any time with effect for the future.

You can have your customer account deleted at any time. To do so, simply contact us at  support[at]tesa.com. 

If you decide to order products, we process your data for the fulfillment and execution of the contract and, if necessary, its reversal in the context of the termination of the contract. In addition, we use your data to inform you about the status of the order. You can deactivate these notifications at any time via the account settings.

The legal basis of the data processing is the performance of the contract and for the fulfillment of legal information and storage obligations.

After the order process, a contract with costs may be concluded and an obligation to provide us with your payment data (e.g. account number for direct debit authorization) may arise. We need this data to process payments. Transfer of payment data via the common payment options (Visa/MasterCard, PayPal, direct debit) take place exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. With encrypted communication, the payment data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

We may transfer data to other responsible parties (such as PayPal (Europe) or Mollie B.V.), whose use as a payment service provider is necessary for the secure execution of the payment.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is the execution of the purchase contract.

Within the scope of the webshop, you can voluntarily submit ratings for products, which are displayed in the product view for other users. If you agree, your first name will be displayed next to your rating. The publication is then based on your consent and can be revoked at any time. Alternatively, the ratings remain anonymous.

Non-anonymous product ratings are stored if the product is offered in the webshop and deleted upon revocation of your consent.

You can rate our webshop, in doing so your name, e-mail address and other contract/buyer data (e.g. order number) and usage data (e.g. log files of website usage) may be processed.

The evaluation is voluntary. If you submit a rating, you agree to the associated data processing.

The rating is carried out with the support of TrustedShops GmbH, with whom we have concluded an order processing agreement

We regularly conduct customer surveys and process data on your survey interactions, geographical data and information on the end device and browser used for this purpose. The survey is voluntary. If you participate in a survey, you agree to the associated data processing.

When conducting surveys, we are supported by the service provider Outgrow, USA. Outgrow processes your data according to instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement.

Your data will be stored by us for as long as it is required for the above-mentioned purposes or due to a legal retention obligation. Your data in your customer account will be stored by us until you delete the account. Data relating to an order transaction will be stored for 3 years after completion of the order, provided that no statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial or tax obligations) require longer storage. The period begins with the end of the calendar year in which the event triggering the period falls.
