Our tesa® high-performance paper tapes are, for example, widely used for specialist masking applications in the automotive or transportation sector. They are also used more widely across manufacturing and other sectors for more sustainable carton sealing solutions.
In the paper production very often reinforcement and tear tapes are being used, which can be paper based also.

Reliable, versatile and more sustainable packaging
Increasing sustainability while maintaining high levels of performance and reliability is a key driver in our development of paper tapes. Our bio-based paper tape for packaging and carton sealing, tesa® 60408, has 92% bio-based carbon content in the total product certified by DIN CERTCO, and features a high-tack natural rubber adhesive. It is also recycling-friendly in line with INGEDE Method 12. Businesses across all sectors can rely on us for more sustainable solutions for packaging, and for sealing light to medium weight cartons of up to 25 kg for manual and automated packaging and shipping.

At tesa, we are a key provider of adhesive solutions for masking in the automotive industry and all manufacturing processes. Paper tapes are a versatile option during coating and painting processes. They reliably protect surfaces from overspray and create precise, clean edges. These low-adhesion tapes are easily removed after the painting process without damaging the underlying surface.
Washi flat-backed adhesive masking tape is ultra-thin and adapts exceptionally well to a variety of surfaces to create flat, razor-sharp paint edges. This makes it an ideal choice for demanding precision painting and lacquering environments, resulting in improved efficiency and no reworks.
Paper tapes for paper production, printing and corrugators
Paper-based splicing tapes for paper production and paper printing improve efficiency with automated flying splice and permanent splice adhesive solutions. Choose from our range of repulpable paper splicing tape options.
To support recyclability of packaging, we offer a paper-based tear tape for efficient opening of lightweight boxes, packages, or mailing bags made of corrugated board, cardboard, or paper. Our paper-based reinforcement tape adds strength to lightweight packaging where needed, while at the same time ensuring recyclability of the used box.
