Regional Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the Director of Operations for the region, the jobholder is managing the regional supply chain to provide products in time, in quantity, in quality and in cost to our customers by using best in class systems & procedures. This includes developing, implementing and maintaining globally standardized and harmonized supply chain strategies and processes for functions such as logistics, warehousing, materials management.

Responsibilities:
  • Define, develop and maintain Supply Chain processes to provide products in time, in quantity, in quality and in cost to our customers by using best in class systems & procedures across Materials Management, Customer Care, Warehousing and Logistics
  • Responsibilities include building a robust global supply chain organization, leading change and driving continuous improvement, while aligning with the regional business strategy and the global supply chain strategy
  • Design the logistic network (sea / air freight, land, warehouses) in the region to achieve highest delivery performance and flexibility at lowest cost possible
  • Ensure that the supply chain function is able to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable processes
  • Develop KPI’s related to supply chain activities that directly support overall business unit objectives
  • Assures the consistent monitoring of product flow and forecasts to enable the most efficient levels of inventory while protecting the company from excess inventory, limited cash flow and unnecessary obsolescence
  • Optimize raw material, 3rd party and semi-finished goods inventory across the region with a focus on replenishment methods, lead time reduction and supplier partnership (Inter-company & 3rd party vendors) to meet global company Working Capital targets
  • Assures that all customer complaints / problems are recorded, reported and resolved promptly by reviewing performance measurements and implementing sustainable processes and procedures
  • Guide and influence tesa tape Mexico and plant Sparta supply chain teams to ensure that standardized best-in-class processes and platforms are implemented and sustained
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and certificates incl. but not limited to Import & Export, TS 16949, MMOG, IATF 16949:2016.
  • Develop and manage Supply Chain budget and resources ($17M USD)
  • Attend management team meetings, as required, develop reports and recommendations and present them to management team

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in areas of Supply Chain, Logistics or Business
  • At least 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain within a global manufacturing company
  • Strong overall knowledge of supply chain functions (Materials Management, Import / Export, Customer Care, Warehousing)
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing multiple teams of supply chain professionals
  • Demonstrates the experience moving comfortably between strategic and tactical activities
  • Demonstrates the experience in planning, analysis and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully drive change and work collaboratively in a complex, global organization
  • Strong networking abilities with capabilities to build strong relationships in a global operating company
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience influencing high level stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience with demand planning
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
