The Regional Market Manager is responsible for...

  • being the regional market expert and the interface between MUs / Countries and IHQ
  • the strategic sales and marketing approach which includes the channel related organisation in tesa Western Europe
  • developing and achieving the sales & margin targets of business plans
  • empowering and supporting the MUs / Countries to achieve the strategic objectives and business targets
 
Main tasks:
  • Conceptualize the regional market strategy based on BU strategy and in accordance with market needs
  • Consult & empower the local Sales & Marketing Organization to break down the market strategy to MU / Country level
  • Continually review the implementation of the strategy on MU / Country level
  • Review & challenge the follow up on strategies with IHQ
  • Define & monitor leading measures (strategic KPI’s) and define corrective measures if necessary
  • Ensure and follow up on agreed business plans
  • Continuously update market knowledge (trends, competition, etc..) by visiting customers and fairs to improve tesa’s value proposition
  • Support “Problem Solving” of relevant operational topics to facilitate execution optimising Active Selling Time
  • Support new product development & deployment in order to drive innovation within tesa (New Product Pipeline (NPP) Process)
  • Lead, manage and monitor the direct report (if applicable)
  • Steer and monitor virtual teams

What we expect:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • University degree (economics, business administration, engineering)
  • Fluent in English mandatory, other relevant languages (especially German) appreciated
  • Marketing & sales Experience (>5 years)
  • Experience in a relevant market (Expert / Specialist)
  • Experience in a multinational company with a matrix organization
 
Personal characteristics & behaviour:
 
  • Ability to steer and monitor virtual teams
  • Ability to communicate  at eye level with BU Manager, CM’s & SM’s
  • Conceptual thinker with analytical skills
  • High level networking skills in an intercultural environment 
  • Result focussed “get things done” mentality
