Using a tesa® Adhesive Hook for Transparent & Glass 0.2kg

These transparent hooks are a super-simple, unobtrusive way to mount your possessions on transparent surfaces like glass doors and windows. No hassle, no fuss – and no sticky residue when you remove them, either. Not suitable for the following surfaces: silicon, stain resistant paints and PTFE..

Cleaning the surface.

01Preparing the surface

Use a dust-free cloth and a silicone-free detergent to make sure the glass is free from dirt and grease. You can also use alcohol or methylated spirit.
Attaching the Adhesive Strip.

02Attaching the strip

Once the glass is clean and dry, peel off the Adhesive Strip using the tab, being careful not to touch the adhesive side. Apply the strip vertically to the glass.
Activating the Powerstrips® Technology.

03Activate the Powerstrips® Technology

Press down over the whole surface for 5 seconds to ensure that the Powerstrips® Technology is activated.

04Attaching the hook

Now remove the protective foil. Make sure that the hook is in line with the top of the adhesive strip and above the transparent tab line that separates the adhesive area from the removal tab. This ensures the removal tab is accessible at all times. Take another 5 seconds to press down firmly at the top of the hook and again at the bottom.

05Hanging your item

You’re now ready to hang your sign – but of course these hooks are for practical as well as decorative purposes – you could hang just about anything up to 1kg with the 5 hooks that come in this pack.

06Removing the hook

If you thought that installing the hook was simple, wait till you take one down. To dismount your item, hold the hook with one hand and take a firm grip on the tab at the bottom of the strip with the other. Now, without pressing the hook onto the surface, gently pull downwards, parallel to the glass – not away from it. This stretching motion releases the thousands of tiny bonds that make up the adhesive surface.
