Job Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) develops new business within assigned key accounts for wire harness in line with the North American and International Marketing strategies. The KAM also has responsibility for OEM value chain management that includes gaining product approvals, specing-in tesa products on OEM designed wire harnesses and coordinating all marketing and sales interfaces with the assigned OEM’s value-chain.  

Your Responsibilities

  • Cultivate long term strategic customer relationships through achieving a deep understanding of the customer's business, delivering wire harness value solutions and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Develop and advance new business opportunities for wire harness solutions with OEM and value chain in accordance the strategic focus and business plan.
  • Develops and negotiates contracts which encompass tesa’s breadth of products and services with assigned accounts.
  • Works with global wire harness team to develop strategies / pricing for assigned strategic global accounts.
  • Effectively communicate with all organizational levels and cross functional stakeholders internally and externally
  • Liaison between customer HQ, individual customer locations and sub suppliers to insure
  • Collaborate with market management, key account managers both in North America and globally to disseminate account information, activities projects
  • Prepares presentations, manages customer activities, customer setup and pricing
  • Reports all sales activities, opportunities and information via company CRM system
  • Organize and lead projects driving new product and/or service offerings
  • Completes sales forecasting and reporting as required

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • Experience managing accounts of at least $20m in annual revenue. International account management experience is preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of selling concepts and automotive market gained either via experience or education
  • Must have a current, valid driver’s license
  • Skilled and proficient in use of computers to include but not limited to Microsoft products-Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint-as well as ability to use Customer Relationship Management software programs
  • Must be able and willing to travel via air/auto 40% to 50% of the time (domestic & international)
