Global Key Account Manager - Electronic Displays

The Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) supports the overall strategy of BU Electronics. This position carries global responsibility, a specific requirement is to act freely across geographical borders to manage and facilitate tesa’s US-based Global Key Accounts (GKAs) related business originating from the defined design locations in direct co-operation with staff in Asia, Europe and the US. The GKAM  further enhances practical knowledge about assigned GKAs, its processes and requirements within the tesa organization in related functions of technical sales, product and market management and R&D. The GKAM furthermore organizes and conducts international GKA meetings for assigned GKAs (with support of US and EU colleagues) to jointly define priorities and activities to increase business with the account and its value chain.

  • Drive spec-in and global sales for all projects for assigned GKAs design centers
  • Design-in of tesa solutions at defined GKA design centers for display divisions of major hardware companies, defined other OEMs, and their respective suppliers (Electronic Manufacturing Supplier (EMS), Component Maker and Converter) and active global co-ordination of related activities leading to profitable sales regardless of location. Assigned GKAs are subject to change based on market conditions or organizational change
  • Operational converter support to Converters and EMS that are included in the value chain of assigned GKAs.
  • Regular visits to Asia to support the assigned GKA: design teams and tesa staff during initial build phases
  • Involvement in early product design meetings, POC and early Proto build designs.
  • Continues value-chain mapping to enable full understanding of decision making and value chain members of assigned GKAs
  • Identification of up-coming projects and definition of project supply chain
  • Co-operation with GKA design team leaders and sourcing
  • Promotion of new and existing products at design teams, EMS and converters
  • Identification of and participation in tesa product development for assigned GKA requirements
  • Management of Global Key Account (GKA) Electronics spec-in activities including respective partners in their supply and decision making chain
  • Definition of product development needs for respective GKA and suppliers, participation in development process and subsequent specifications at design centers

  • University degree preferably in Chemistry and/or Engineering or comparable experience
  • High result orientation and capability to manage complex projects and communication needs independently
  • Minimum of 5 years account management or technical customer support experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally
  • Positive attitude towards proactive communication and networking
  • Intercultural competence and experience with Asian culture preferred
  • Experience in the electronics display industry required
