Product description
tesa® 7140 is a laminate of a PVC film and a PET film, thus providing both durability and high tensile strength.
When bonding different types of surfaces (glass, metal, plastics), clearly defined surface properties are essential for reliable adhesion. Masking flange areas prior to paint processes is best practice to enable the later on applied adhesive to bond directly to the e-coated surface, thus ensuring bonding reliability and eliminating the need for additional surface treatment steps.
tesa® 7140 is compatible with common e-coats/fillers and structural liquid adhesives.

Additional Info
The product design of tesa® 7140 allows for both manual and automatic (robot) application and is also suitable for converting and die-cutting. In case of fully automatic applications the best-before-date of spools is 12 months under recommended storage conditions.
