The tesamoll® energy savings calculator

See how much you can save!

The amount of your savings potential depends on a number of factors. Especially critical are the width of the gaps in your window and the total length of the gaps.

It’s easy to see if your window has a faulty seal

Close the window on a piece of paper, clamping it between the window and the frame. If the paper is easy to remove, the seal is inadequate. Repeat this test in various locations. Now you can use a lighted candle to easily find the spots that are letting air through. This test is easier to conduct when it is considerably colder outside than inside or when it is windy.

You can now measure the width of the gap using a measuring tape. One helpful trick is to place a piece of soft modeling clay between the window and the frame and then close the window. The thickness of the compressed modeling clay will then tell you how wide the gap is.

How the energy savings calculator works

Please select the gap width, the type of heating you have, and a tesamoll® product at left. Then enter the total length of the gaps in your windows. Click “calculate savings.” That’s it! The calculator will show you your annual savings and the savings over a five-year period and show you how many times over your purchase of tesamoll® will pay for itself.
