tesa® ACXplus E-Line is the latest generation of acrylic foam products. Its viscoelastic nature enables E-Line to absorb and release the energy generated by thermal expansion or contraction of the substrates bound due to the environmental conditions. It also gives the E-Line excellent wetting properties which support longevity of the bond.

Closed cell, foamed structure of tesa® ACXplus E-Line provides cushioning effect required on impact in order to absorb stress and secure the joint as well as outstanding water resistance.

Thanks to the specific chemistry of the backing, tesa® ACXplus E-Line also provides very high adhesion over the entire lifespan of the product.

Even more demanding is fixation of full glass fronts in borderless models. Here the glass is fixed to a plastic structural bezel or even to a metal frame surrounding LCD or LED module. Because of the very different TLEC (thermal linear elongation coefficient) of the materials, the core of E-Line becomes heavily stretched and stressed. In addition, glass adds its weight to the stress put on the E-Line. It is exactly for this kind of extreme condition that tesa has developed its ACXplus E-Line.
