Oilcloth catch-alls – everything in its place in the bath

With the magician's trick the bathroom is always nicely tidied up: Simply sew a catch-all out of waterproof oilcloth, stick it to the tiles and fill!

This is what we need: Oilcloth in various patterns (55 x 45 cm), ruler, fabric shears, pencil, sewing machine (with a Teflon foot makes sewing oilcloth easier!), paper for the sewing pattern, tesa Powerstrips® Waterproof Strips Large, tesafilm®

Transfer the sewing pattern to paper according to the pattern and diagram, cut out and use it to cut the oilcloth without seam allowances.

Fold bag back in the middle inside out (22 x 21 cm) and close side seams with 1 cm seam allowance, fold bag in the middle inside out (17 x 31 cm) and again close side seams with 1 cm seam allowance.

Cut off the corners on both parts of the bag up to right before the seam, turn parts right-side out and work the corners out cleanly, manually press all seams smooth since oilcloth does not iron well.

Fold the folds in the bag in accordance with the pattern diagram and affix with tesafilm®, since pins leave behind holes in oilcloth. Close the bottom open edge with 0.5 cm seam allowance.

Lay the bag inside out on the back part. Affix with tesafilm® so that nothing slips. Close the bottom seam with 1 cm seam allowance and then cut back close, remove tesafilm®.

Turn piece back right-side out, manually press seam smooth.

Now stitch the entire bag all around with 1 cm seam allowance on the outer edges.

After thoroughly cleaning the desired spot, wipe the tile with the primer cloth (included in the Powerstrips® package), wait 10 seconds.

Remove the protective paper on one side of the tesa Powerstrips® Waterproof Strips Large and stick it flush to the back of the bag with the red line to the top. Press hard for five seconds. Remove second protective paper.

Stick the bag to the desired tile and press hard for at least five seconds.
