A cozy little nest

This house for sleep and play is built of wood and has a base area of about 1 x 2 meters (about the same in yards).

Square timbers carefully anchored to the wall serve as posts and beams for the base, and the walls are made of solid wood profiles (all available at home improvement stores).

Well ventilated: The small windows to both sides and the entryway, which can be closed with a shade, provide good air flow.

Play it safe…

The playhouse is lined with carpeting to make sure it is cushy. Important: Particularly in the corners, the carpet should be fixed in place with double-sided tesa® Carpet Laying Tape.

…and prevent slips

The ladder up to the house consists of a folding wooden ladder (also from the home improvement store) cut in half.

The advantage of this approach is that the steps are wider and can be covered with tesa® nonskid tape so that no one falls off the ladder even when romping around.

Simply practical

A little trick for do-it-yourselfers: When anchoring, it is important to ensure that all the drill holes are about the same depth.

If you don’t have a depth stop at hand right at the moment, mark the drilling depth with tesa® adhesive tape.
