…get set, go! And they’re off to tackle the delicious cake. The homemade table decorations set a happy mood. So that every guest can find his or her place easily, the birthday girl or boy has cut out big letters from colorful construction paper (also see the next page).

Imaginative table decorations

Sticks great!

The basis for the imaginative table decorations is a white paper tablecloth. You will also need colorful wrapping paper or construction paper, which you can decorate with dots and stripes as you like.

Fun party idea

This is Anna’s spot…

…and she’ll be amazed to find the fork on the spoon and the knife on the fork. Has the whole world been turned upside down? No, just a fun party idea that is easy to put in practice.

The first letter of each guest’s name is cut out and glued to his or her spot with tesa® Stick. The fun placeholders for the knife and fork are attached next to the letter.

Balloon with face

A child’s party without balloons? Inconceivable. Ours are nicely fat, round, and filled with helium.

Keep a good grip or I’ll blow up, up, and away. Make balloons more fun in seconds by giving them hair, eyes, and mouths.

Easy handling with tesa® Photo Film

Hold still!

Now we’ll give you a pair of yellow sunglasses, you big blue balloon. With double-sided tesa® Photo Film, it’s a snap.

"Light work" is called for here. So that the balloons can float well, it is important to use thin or light craft paper and to be sparing with the decorations – so please don’t glue too many pieces, or pieces that are too large, to the balloon.

Tip:
Tie the balloon down somewhere while the children decorate it so that it doesn’t fly away.

Photo printouts make it clear who gets which bag.

This bag is for you

Surprise! What’s in the party favor bags? At least nobody will fight over whose is whose, because the photo printouts glued to the outside of each bag make it clear who gets which – and make the bags more fun, too!

At the beginning of the party, the guests are photographed with a digital camera (if you don’t have one, you may be able to borrow one for the occasion from friends or acquaintances). The photos are printed on the computer and taped to simple white paper bags using tesa® Photo Film.

Flowers from the birthday girl or boy

Even the simplest paper cups get in the party mood quickly when they are lovingly decorated with designs glued onto them and made of wrapping paper or construction paper.

So that every guest can find his or her cup easily, each one has different designs taped to it. The hosts can design the cups or have every child make his or her own.

Volunteers step forward! First outline the various designs as desired on the construction or wrapping paper, then cut them out, choose a suitable background if you like, and glue all the parts into place using tesa® Photo Film. Perfect for children – no drips.
