tesa Logistics Stuttgart: A Central Distribution Warehouse

tesa Logistics Stuttgart, abbreviated tLS, has developed from a Beiersdorf sales warehouse serving southern Germany into a tesa distribution warehouse serving Europe.

Along with clients in Germany, the Stuttgart location also supplies clients in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria, and the Netherlands with both industrial and consumer products from tesa.

About 50% of tesa’s sales volume in Europe is handled via the warehouse.

More than 1,000 orders every day

Each day, the warehouse’s 90 employees pack and ship more than 1,000 orders with over 8,000 items. A competent, internationally oriented supply chain management team handles the various tasks surrounding the entire order process.

Distribution is directed by means of a proprietary warehouse management system that will, in the future, be replaced by SAP/LES.

To make processes even more efficient and safer, an automatic carton warehouse for IP packing, along with a two-step sorting system at the goods’ point of exit, are also to be put in operation.
