The tesa Plant Singapore was officiated as tesa tape Asia Pacific Singapore in January 1999. Prior to this, it started in 1976 as Singapore Plastic Product, a joint venture between Singapore Government and a Taiwanese company specialized in the production of PVC films. In 1982, another Taiwanese company took over the business and began producing PVC adhesive tapes. In 1995, Beiersdorf acquired 50% of the company shares and finally in 1999 the other 50%. tesa tape Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was formed.

The tesa plant Singapore is specializing in PVC adhesive tape, PVC non-adhesive tape and PVC sheeting/film, and also supplying and distributing trading products for the electro and electronic, the automotive and the paper and printing industries. With strong research and development back up from the parent company, tesa SE, Hamburg, and the regional headquarters in Singapore, advanced production equipment and technologies, and our commitment to quality and prompt delivery, the plant’s products not only meet the highest demands of major international standards, such as UL, CSA, BS, IMQ, SEMKO, TUV and VDE, but also meets the standards of major car wire harness producers and car manufacturers. The Company is gaining a significant share in the world market. The company production is exported to more than 50 countries all over the world.
