Adhesive tapes are indispensable tools in the media and events sector. Under the title “Get on stage” adhesive tape manufacturer tesa will celebrate the official premiere of a new full product range for the events sector at this year’s prolight + sound trade fair, to be held on the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds. A number of different professionals from the theatre, show business, and film and television industry – shared their valuable experience with tesa. Specialties for the industry

The new tesa product range is especially interesting for the media and events sector because it is an assortment of specialty products, including various colors of fabric tape, ultra-matte finish that provides effective protection from unwanted light reflection. tesa® 4671 Premium Gaffer Tape is the versatile all-in-one tool in the product line. The high-quality fabric tape features outstanding adhesive properties and has numerous advantages in use. It is easy to apply, to remove it without leaving residues, and to tear it by hand with a straight tear edge.

A new tape, specially developed for this industry, is tesa®53999 All Black Matt Gaffer Tape. With its black adhesive mass, and a special matt black surface, the tape makes every application on stage practically invisible; for example the fixing of dance floors on stages. Another specialty included in the assortment is tesa 50577 All Black Matt Alu, which has a black adhesive coating on black aluminum foil. Because it blocks light reflections and resists temperatures of up to 160 degrees Celsius, this tesa solution is an especially handy helper on and around lighting systems, for instance when fixing “barn doors” or for preventing light escaping from floor cans.
