tesa AG to become a European Company (Societas Europaea)

On Thursday, the Supervisory Board of tesa AG approved the plan to convert the company into a European Company (Societas Europaea, or SE). The new corporate form takes into account the increasing internationalization of the tesa business and of the customers and suppliers of tesa AG.

The SE form was developed by the European Union with the aim of creating a uniform legal form for corporations and enlarging the scope of commerce and enterprise across borders. It makes it possible for companies to use a single name that will, in the future, be a part of economic life in all of the countries of the European Union and will contribute to consistent perception Europe-wide. At present, more than 30 German companies have already converted to the SE form.

tesa AG has been a member of the Beiersdorf group of companies since 2001. In 2007, the company earned sales revenue of € 846 million.
