75 Jahre tesa


This year tesa has two reasons to celebrate: 75 years ago, on February 17 1936 precisely, Tesa® sticky tape was mentioned in correspondence for the very first time, later achieving fame under the name tesafilm® from 1941. Over ten years ago now, what was then tesa AG was made an independent company.

From 1934 on, Hugo Kirchberg developed the company’s adhesive tape business in the Beiersdorf Group and is still known as “Mr. tesa.” When he retired in 1973, the tesa range already included around 600 different products. Kirchberg died in 1999.
